These versions are now available for download on the BEIMS Client Portal under ‘My Software’. If you need to migrate your BEIMS database to SQL 2012/14 and 5.7.30x versions of one or more BEIMS modules are not available on the Client Portal, please contact BEIMS Support on [email protected] or +61 3 9672 6161.

Paul Nichols (Project & Scheduling Manager) has left the BEIMS team after joining us in September 2013. Paul certainly made a positive impact during his time here. We thank him for his hard work and wish him all the best with his new employer.

Tim Ireland has joined the BEIMS team as our NSW State Manager (Senior Business Analyst). Based in Sydney, Tim brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience and will service new and existing clients in New South Wales.

What a fantastic idea!

Phil Carlile (one of our Senior Consultants) visited the South Australian Aquatic & Leisure Centre late last year and saw the maintenance staff wearing work shirts with "Have You Logged It In BEIMS?" embroidered on the back of them.

The story goes that the maintenance crew were getting tired of repeating themselves when staff reported maintenance issues to them verbally, instead of following procedure and logging their requests via BEIMSWeb2.

Instead of having to stop what they were doing and explain the correct procedure each time, they now just point to the back of their shirt! Brilliant!

We'd like to say a very big thank you to all our wonderful clients that kindly hosted a Professional Development Day (PDD) in the second-half of 2014. We successfully ran PDD's in Perth, Brisbane, Coffs Harbour, Adelaide, Auckland & Melbourne, and hope to announce details of a Sydney date shortly.

Agenda Items:

- Building & Asset Condition Assessment using BEIMS
- Updated Asset Reports
- Information on updates to: BEIMSWeb2, Building Condition Assessment, Service Request System, Visitor Registration System, Remote Request Notification 2 & pocketBEIMS Work Orders for iOS
- Tips & Tricks (minor things that can save time)

Mercury Computer Systems has teamed with The Institute of Hospital Engineering, Australia (IHEA) to release the new and improved AssetMark benchmarking system. AssetMark is a structured continuous improvement program that offers participating health care facilities the opportunity to identify best practice. At the moment it's limited to Australian Hospitals.

AssetMark allows subscribers to:
• Establish performance benchmarks
• Monitor facility management expenditure performance
• Monitor facility performance
• Verify cost effectiveness
• Develop evaluation data for ACHS accreditation

The new and improved AssetMark costs just AUD $750+GST per hospital for a 12-month subscription. This provides full access to reports, graphs and comparative data.

To make things easier for existing Australian hospitals that are also BEIMS clients, we will begin to include the option of an AssetMark subscription on your BEIMS Annual Maintenance & Support (AM&S) renewal. Please look closely at your next renewal notice for more information.

For additional information and service enquiries, please contact the IHEA on 1300 929 308 or [email protected].

We're pleased to now offer all our New Zealand-based clients the ability to receive quotes and pay invoices in New Zealand dollars. These payments can go to a local, New Zealand-based bank account, reducing bank fees and confusion in the process.

Please let us know at the time of requesting a Quote or submitting a Purchase Order which currency you would like to pay in!

BEIMS was proud to once-again be a Silver sponsor at the New Zealand Institute of Healthcare Engineering (NZIHE) conference held in Auckland late last year. During the trade night we caught up with many of our valued clients to discuss the latest updates and features in BEIMS. We also got some exciting ideas to pass onto our development team, some of which have already been implemented! Thanks to Bill & Lyn MacDougall for putting on another great conference!

During the trip we also held a Professional Development Day at BECA House in Auckland. We had a great turn-out from our loyal New Zealand clients, many of whom travelled from around the country to attend.
